How Old Do You Need To Be To Get Your Pilot’s License?

There’s no specific age to become a pilot. It all depends on the type of license you want to get and the aircraft you want to fly.

Surprisingly, you don’t need a license to get flying lessons. But you do need a student pilot license in order to fly solo.

For a Private Pilot License you need to be at least 17 years to get this license. A PPL is a license that allows you to fly multiple passengers in an aircraft.

How To Become An Airline Pilot

Step 1: Earn a Private Pilot License.

This specific license is the first step that will allow you the luxury of flying aircraft and make you aware of the basics before other certificates. It gives you the fundamental basics that’ll set you off to more advanced certificates.

Step 2: Earn a Night Rating

Night Rating (NR) is a course for 5 hours without an exam that enables you to fly at night. You can also take it with the PPL course for 45 hours.
